Learning
Three 8-week terms during the year offer a diverse selection of classes including current events, history, philosophy, science, art, poetry, literature, exercise, and other topics of interest for adults in pre and post-retirement years. No need for prior college/educational experience!
The US Journey Jargon & Lecture Series offers weekly lectures on most Mondays throughout each term on a variety of topics and travel experiences. These presentations are given by University of Minnesota faculty and staff, community experts, and US members.
Involvement
University for Seniors is a peer-led program that could not run without the hard work of dedicated members on committees and the US Council. Committees depend upon the willingness of members to give their time and effort of behalf of the membership as a whole. We ask that members get involved as a way of helping out and getting to know other members.
Community
There are a variety of special events and social activities featuring local tours, museum visits, luncheons, and theatrical performances.
